There's a story in The Sun today which says Pat Phelan's daughter is coming to Coronation Street. As with all tabloid spoilers, this is only a rumour. Nothing has been confirmed by ITV.
The Sun's story says that Phelan will find out he’s got a grown-up daughter, called Nicola. And, Nicola will have a son - which means Pat has a grandson too.
But then the report goes on to say that Nicola, who was the child of an affair Pat had with his best mate’s wife, is the mum of Seb Franklin.
That will make Pat the grandad of Seb, if it's true.
Say what? I'm all confused now!
Find out who else is leaving, joining and returning to Coronation Street.

Ouch! That's contrived.
I sincerely hope not. Ridiculous.
I hope not. When Phelan goes, I want him gone with no foot in the door to excuse his return.
The actor can come back as someone entirely different but not this creep.
Next we'll be hearing that Phelan has been given a 10 year contract and will be the new landlord of the Rovers. And the show will be renamed Phelanation Street. Seriously though, viewers want their villains to get their come-uppance. I know the producers have already broken this golden rule with Tracy Barlow, but it's not a precedent which should be repeated. The actor is good, but Phelan's reign of evil has already been dragged out to ridiculous lengths...
I'm in agreement with all the above comments. Most fans want Phelan gone, not given an extended family!
No, utterly, completely wrong move. Contrived and pointless.
This would be really hard to swallow. Hope it's not true.
I like the idea of a daughter, but not Sebs mother. I am one who would like Phelan to stick around. I wish they didn't make him a killer. I love the actor and will be sorry to see him go. Being in Canada, we don't get too many chances to see these actors again, once they leave Corrie. :(
No thank you. We've already had one middle aged man discover he's a dad (Lloyd/Jenna) and another that he's a grandfather (Ken/Adam). These weren't pretty stories. Next.
