Job losses on Coronation Street

The credit crunch hits Corrie, says The Star as Deirdre Barlow gets made redundant from her job at Weatherfield Council. Hang on, she's hardly ever there anyway, is she?

Bill Webster will also feel the need to re-invent himself as Bob the Builder in a bid to target new customers. And butcher Graeme Proctor also loses his job.

Poor Graham. What a brilliant character he is.

Its a real shame that Grahame is to lose his job, but whatever happened to Boris? Ashley should close the shop now and move with Clurr to the Wirral.

What exactly did Dreary DO at the Council? She was always taking imprompu time off anyway, cant blame them really. Glad the credit crunch is going to be mentioned at last, Weatherfield seemed to be exempt what with everyone enjoying fry ups at Roys even though they live a few doors away and now paying Pam £1.90 for butties, in fact does anyone in the Street apart from Gail and Sally and her fish fingers, ever cook anything?

Graeme loses his job,.... but that doesn't mean we're losing the character does it?

No, this is all storyline news, not actors. He's too good is Craig Gazey, they wouldn't get rid of him yet!!

Apparently Graeme doesn't lose his job! Was with Craig this morning and he doesn't know anything about that Great interview on the way with him. Top man.

Some Corrie teasers here, too ;)
